Halsey is apologizing to her followers after she shared a picture on Instagram of her past struggle with an eating disorder.
On Sunday, the “Be Kind” hitmaker, shared an Instagram Story of her “lowest point,” a topless mirror selfie in which she looks extremely slim after she was asked by a fan for her to share a photo at her lowest point.
“ED ask for help.” She captioned the pic.
On Monday, Dec. 28, the 26-year-old shared a tweet apologizing for the insensitive post.
“TW: disordered eating,” the “Without Me” singer wrote. “I am very sorry. For posting a photo of myself. Depicting my struggle with ED. Without a sufficient trigger warning. I was very nervous to post it. And didn’t think properly. I had positive intentions. I would never want to harm someone. Who shares my struggle.”

The pop-star added in another tweet, “with that being said. I’m gonna log off now. Because this has turned into something. I am not emotionally equipped. To handle for the time being. I hope that’s okay.”

However, the 26 years old singer did include a trigger warning with the photo. “TW: ED,” she wrote in big, bright white letters, along with “ask for help [heart emoji].” But some fans didn’t think this was good enough.
