The former WWE star, Nikki Bella, revealed that she and her fiancé, Artem Chigvintsev, decide to attend couples therapy, and this came days after he finished filming DWTS.
During her Wednesday appearance on The Tamron Hall Show with her sister Brie, Nikki discusses how it was difficult when Artem left to film DWTS, Especially when he left just months after they welcomed their son, Matteo.
The Total Bella star told the talk show host, “I was so supportive and pushing him out the door to go do Dancing [With the Stars] and then I realized once he left. I was like. ‘Oh my gosh. What did I do? Like. I need him.’ And so it was really hard.” The 36 years old reality television personality continued, “We’re going to start [therapy] after the season and it’s mainly just to be amazing parents and knowing how to balance parent life out and also our own relationship because Artem and I don’t ever want to have a struggle. You know, we plan on being married.”
Bella and Chigvintsev became an official couple in July of 2019. They got engaged during their France trip in November. In July, the couple welcomed their first child together ‘Matteo’.
Recently, Nikki had open up about her experience with postpartum depression during an episode of her podcast, “The Bellas Podcast.” saying that she refused to get help since she was used to handling problems all by herself, she said “The past few weeks have been tough. And not just having Matteo mostly by myself and doing it all on my own, there are so many other things, And it’s crazy because I am very prideful. I’m competitive. I love being the best. I want to be number one. My whole life I’ve been an athlete. So I realized I’ve taken that mentality. So it’s like, ‘Do it like an athlete.’ No, you can’t do it that way at all.
